DCU Language Services is seeking to employ a full-time EFL Programme Manager for our growing Junior School.
Overview of Position
The Programme Manager will be a member of our senior management team and will be responsible for planning, resourcing and coordinating the academic and administrative components of Junior School operations. The role involves close co-operation with our Sales and Service Teams so that a high standard of service is achieved in all aspects of our junior programme operations. Strong knowledge, understanding and experience of EFL principles and practices are required along with excellent administrative capabilities, particularly in the areas of organisation and people management. This will be a full-time role with seasonal peaks each spring and summer.
Liaison with other company teams, clients and support services
Recruitment and management of teachers and support staff
Management of school operations (timetabling, educational resources, administration)
Development of the Junior Programme syllabus and course-content
Ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance measures, Health and Safety requirements and Child Protection procedures
In non-peak periods other temporary duties may be allocated
Highly organized and with an ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong leadership qualities
Keen understanding of both the business and academic demands of the position
- 5+ years EFL experience
- Previous management experience in an EFL organisation
- Primary degree and ACELS-recognized initial TEFL qualification (http://www.acels.ie/teachertraining)
- A higher-level qualification in the area of EFL / Education such as DELTA, HDip Ed., PGCE, M.TESOL. The higher-level qualification must have included relevant formally-assessed observed teaching practice
