Academic Manager

CEC is recruiting Academic Managers for their Junior centres for Summer 2019. These centres run from late June to mid-August and are situated in the Cork suburbs of Douglas and Bishopstown.

Responsibilities and Duties

Experienced Academic Manager who will manage and support the teaching team in a busy Junior English Summer School.

Manage the Junior Summer School academic programme
Support and manage the teaching team
Run placement testing for newly-arrived students
Follow school’s policies and procedures on classing, class sizes, testing and certificates
Run a pre-course induction day for summer teachers
Maintain records and complete necessary paperwork
Work with the centre manager to ensure school policies for the welfare and protection of children are implemented.
Support the Centre Manager in the overall management of the centre.
Keep school directors up-to-date with all aspects of the summer school
