High School International is recruiting Student Advisers

HSI has been a leader in the provision of educational opportunities and guardianship for international secondary school students in Ireland and the UK since 1989. We are now interested in recruiting additional Student Advisers in Dublin.


We employ a team of student advisers who work with our Operations and Student Services Managers to ensure that our students have a safe and positive experience.

Main responsibilities:

· To be the first point of contact with our students, host families and schools

· To monitor and supervise students as they settle in to their new environments

· To liaise with our overseas partners as required

· To make regular monthly visits to schools, host families and students

· To maintain regular contact via social media with students outside of the monthly visit

· To record all contacts with students, host families and schools

· To write monthly progress and welfare reports on each student

· To share a rotating 24/7 emergency phone contact

· To recruit local host families in the areas assigned to you and to assign students to these host families

· To assist with other HSI activities at times of the year when schools are closed

Required:

· Third Level Degree

· Fluency in English – reading, writing, speaking and listening (CEFR C1 or C2)

· At least 3 years work experience, preferably in an education setting

· Ability to work as a team member and to work independently

· Complete familiarity with the Irish education system

· Full, clean driving licence and car (this position involves regular travel throughout the country)

Successful candidates will undergo Garda Vetting and will undertake Level 1 training in Children First & Child Protection
