Join the teaching team at IBAT

Join us at IBAT - We are looking for enthusiastic English language teachers to join our team; experienced as well as newly qualified teachers are welcome.



We are offering:

  • Guaranteed, 15 contact hours per week (AM or PM) (+ 1.25 paid hours break time)

  • Or guaranteed 30 contact hours per week (+ 2.5 paid hours break time)

  • From €20/hour to €24/hour permanent hourly paid contract (depending on experience and qualifications).

Minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum NFQ level 7 (ordinary bachelor degree or equivalent)

  • TEFL certification meeting ACELS requirements (CELT, CELTA, Trinity TESOL, NUI ELE Certificate)

  • Eligible to work in the EU

Some duties include:

  • Teaching adults from beginner to advanced levels, and possible exam classes.

  • Teaching and assessing the approved IBAT syllabi according to students’ needs

  • Completing all necessary documentation related to class through Google platform

  • Managing classroom and maintaining classroom discipline while promoting positive behaviour and appropriate conduct at all times

  • Assigning homework including written assignments and providing feedback

  • Recording and reporting assessment and the work of learners

  • Preparing students for formal terminal examinations ( Cambridge orTIE exams)

  • Collaborating and cooperating with co-teachers

  • Attending staff meetings

  • Assisted study as required

  • Participating in the induction and mentoring of junior colleagues

  • Other reasonable duties related to teaching, as required
